I have had 3 LEEP procedures, D&C, hysterectomy & a laser treatment for dysplasia. At this point I feel like a guinea pig. Just received phone call from GYN/oncologist that my recent pap is abnormal & they wanted to know if I preferred another laser surgery or cream this time. If the cells are always going to be present, what are my options? Yes, I smoke & I would very much like to quit. Do you know of anyone who has tried the chemotherapy cream to treat dysplasia? Previously I asked Dr. what the most aggressive treatment was & he said to take out my vagina!!!

I've had the same problem but mine went away for the 13 years I was taking Premarin. As soon as I stopped taking it, the HPV came back and has gotten very aggressive. Three vaginectomies in two years. I'm scared about what will happen when they run out of things to remove.

My goodness you could be telling my story.  I too was dianosed in Sept 2012.  They told me my lesion had metasticised from another area however they couldn't find the source and figured it was primary.  I had 5 weeks of external radiation (3 mins front & back) every day and cisplatin every week for 5 weeks.  My last treatment was Nov 1 2012.  Everyone continues to tell me it's rare.  I'm not healing properly.  I continue to have discharge and spotting.  I had another MRI 2 weeks ago and will get the results tomorrow (march 27).  I'm anxious and stressed. I was getting greenish discharge from the get go.  I continue to have it.  The location on my mini pad is odd.  I think it's coming from my urethra.  Any thoughts?

Hi Angelina, Sorry for the quite late response. I read your case and it is quite similar to the case of my wife which is undergoing the same treatment. Curious to know how how the treatment go ? Thanks in advance for your prompt reply Regards, Noraine

This is exactly what happened to me!  13 years of peace while I was taking Premarin and then nothing but problems since.  I've had 4 vaginectomies in the past 4 years and they are now about to start radiation treatments.  Did yours ever get better? What did they do for you?  I honestly feel like I have PTSD after 7 years of surgeries and biopsies and contant worry.  I hope you've had some resolution!
