For us, every time we got closer to knowing the plan the calmer we felt.  My husband has just completed his 12 week PET and was NED!  It was a rough ride but we made it through and you can, too.  He is back at work fulltime, talking again, hiking 2 miles and moving toward getting his PEG out!  So hang on and hang in there.  You can do it!

Get ready and be stubborn in sticking with your regimines of exercises for you swallowing, eating, pain meds and very important your mirilax and senekot s or whatever your plan is for that when that time comes.

Find something like boost or ensure you can tolerate and when it gets to that point get it done. Try to avoid a feeding tube unless it is absolutley necessary. They will probably be letting you know if and when it gets close to that point.

Stay strong and know you can always come here for questions and answers. You will get through this!

God Bless
