I am wanting to let you know there is hope! I was diagnosed in 2010. I had a distal pancredectomy and splenectomy.you turmor was T1No meaning that it was a stage 1 and it was not on my lymph nodes.  I was given a good prognosis. Low and behold 8 months later I had a recurrence thst had metastasized to my abdominal wall. I went from a good prognosis to having maybe 6 months to live. That was in 2011!! I am still here . I did have chemotherapy and radiation it worked....my concern is if you had a recurrence and 2nd time what are the symptoms? Now that I have had two operations and even everything has been rewired lol.... so to speak what should I be aware of. I am a little concerned because my CA19.9 has increased a little just a little. I understand that infection or illness could change that.....my numbers are 62.3.... what are your thoughts

Hi Tamatha, wow there you are! I've been wondering about you as I did send you a private message long ago! So happy to hear your still with us! With my recurrence, I had right rib pain  and I knew darn well it was my liver but never expected the diagnosis I got. Ca19-9 numbers can go up for afew reasons,  infection, a cold, heavy consumption of tea, some suppliments, and stress! Keep an eye on these numbers. Are you feeling well, in my case I had that miserable pain that never wanted to leave me. My numbers were 58 and my oncologist said everything was fine but I told him, everything is not fine, I'm sitting here with rib pain and I need a scan,  and afew weeks later I'm given the news, with 5-6 months to live. Well I can tell you I'm only here to day  thanks to the grace of God. God did for me what the oncologist and chemo could not fully do! Do I worry about cancer coming back.....certainly not, because I know of all the healings Jesus did in the Bible, and don't recall anyone ever coming back complaining their illness came back, and that's good enough for me. Take care and keep in touch......Joy.
