As an OLD guy, I remember frequently hearing Vera Lynn sing this on a weekly 1950s radio program: 'Calling all Britains'. The song was one of my wife's favourites.

When I heard Johnny sing this song, he had added a whole new dimension to it. He wasn't merely singing a song, he was singing from the heart.

'We'll Meet Again' was placed on the very last track of his very last album before his wife June died, almost as if knowing what what the future held. I tend to believe that he was singing this song to June.

In designing my wife's gravestone, I thought an appropriate postscript would be:

"Until we meet again . . in Heaven"
