Very worried

Hi,

I was had a mole removed from my back a few days ago and I am having severe anxiety with panic attacks, not sleeping or eating. I am so scared I have melanoma. I am looking for support. The mole I had removed was only 2mm diameter, round, and symetrical , slightly raised but it was very dark black. It was the "ugly ducking". The problem is, I have no idea how long it has or hasn't been there, as it's on my back in the middle where I can't see. My guess is that it either was a mole that turned black or is fairly new.

When the derm saw it, she seemed very concerned about the color and wanted it off right away. She showed me in a mirror and my heart sank. She did a punch biopsy and now I'm waiting.

I grasping at straws here, but does anyone know if a mole that is only 2mm diameter may have less chance of going deep? The abcde is confusing as they talk about the size of a pencil eraser, but not small moles.

Did anyone have a very small mole and how deep was it? I am hoping that small moles are less likely to be invasive.

PS, my pic of my mole is in my username pic. If anyone wants to give me opinions, I would like to hear thoughts on if the mole looks like melanoma.
