Specifically, the tumour marker is around 17 now (I askd at dinner), which is a massive improvement.

Scan should be next week, I think. I saw the chart for his CEA over time today, it started in the thousands but is down to nearly normal now so that's something.

Next treatment is tomorrow, not the 21st...  he's getting everything, the erbitux hasn't been discontinued like I thought. Scan results tomorrow too, hopefully the tumour is dead or at least inert (is it technically incorrect for me to distinguish those?}.

Also happy Mother's Day.

Father's home with pump. His CEA has gone down further, to twelve, and the tumour has shrunk more. I think.

Pump's out, he's got a week off chemo I believe, next treatment should be on the 28th I think. Scan TBD.

... any advice for handling jury duty? There's no way I can leave my father at home for most of a day at this point, and the first excuse we sent in apparently got there too late (which is bullshit, we sent it out in plenty of time and they apparently got around to it too late)... we went down to Summit on Thursday after we got the notice that the excuse was refused, and they faxed a doctor-approved excus, but I'm worried they won't accept it on the grounds it's "too late"...

... he's been feeling steadily worse for the past couple days and is probably going into the hospital overnight. Everyone thinks it's a reaction to the erbitux...

They think he's been dehydrated. That's common on erbitux, right? Or is it FOLFIRI that's causing it?
