I brought up the idea of a colonoscopy to my father, he's resisting it... I'll bring it up to the doctor next time I see him, if I cn, but I don't entirely disagree with my father considering they haven't noticed anything at all.

Just a thought: he's never really been bedridden, not because of this/recently, so that's probably a good thing.

Related: He doesn't really sleep more than he used to either. In fact, he sometimes has trouble sleeping, although what that can be attributed to is a bit unclear. He spends most of his down time sitting and reading, but that's normal and he can move around and do things, although he runs out of energy fairly quickly due to age if nothing else.

He's getting chemo at the moment, so that's good.

He had hot flashes throughout last night... is that bad/normal on FOLFOX?

To be fair, this is the first time he's had them.

Supposedly it is, and supposedly it's normal enough. At this point he has his pump out and is mostly just tired.

While my husband was getting chemo he had hot and cold spells. While my uncle was on chemo the doctor used the word hot flash, and he had them. He was being treated for prostate cancer. He survived and is doing great.

He was functional enough to do stuffing for Thanksgiving, albeit with a good deal of assistance (which is kind of normal at this age, I think).

Lunch was lost on him, sadly, but he could taste part of dinner at least.

... which incidentally was the exact same thing.
