My mom (age 54) was diagnosed on 09/27/17 and had surgery on 09/30/17. Tumor was 3 cm on left temporal lobe. Doctor said he removed most of the tumor and the MRI was pretty clean. Mom was discharged on 10/04/17 and started taking Keppra. Short-term memory and verbal fluency were slightly decreased after surgery. She’s in her 4thweek of TMZ/RT. She eats well (nausea in the morning after taking TMZ), sleeps well (9-11 hrs a day) and walks one hour everyday in the morning. Mom has no idea how aggressive the cancer is. Both Dad and I have a background in health science. We did a lot of research and we know the prognosis is bad, but we will stay positive and do our best to fight the disease with Mom. Good luck to you and your mom :)

As I often do I suggest checking Virtual Trials a great resource.
