I had the Whipple procedure two years ago and seemed to recover well. During the last few months I have been suffering with a gas build up in my colon which is really uncomfortable. I visited my go who sent me for a barium enamel which was clear of any blockage or mass,I have also been given the all clear in my last bowed cancer screening. Although my go is aware of the procedure I had he has never related this problem to either the enzyme replacements or acid reducers I take regularly. I have tried increasing the dose of creon and am now taking four or five a day but have stopped the acid reducers as this seems to make the gas worse. During the past couple of months I have lost almost two stone and my go seems stumped and I really need some advice as the gas seems to be getting worse and my rear is so sore that I am finding it impossible to sit down as the gas seems to build up when I do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
