Dear Community,

Thank you for being there to help with our journey to find a cure and treatment for this terrible disease. For my first post, I will try to make it brief.  My husband has newly diagnosed GBM on Jan. 22, 2018 and he was resected on Jan. 30th. Fortunately he was able to have the tumor totally removed but now we start our journey of treatment.  He probably will have Proton Radiation and TMZ, standard of care, but we know the outcomes of this without additional medication and suppliments is unacceptable.  We have a partial pathology report that incidates his tumor is unmethylated. We are interested in anything that has worked for individuals so far to increase their PFS and OS. It also would help to know if their tumors were methylated or unmethylated.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP

WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY and for the blessings of GOD and your help we are grateful!

Hi there. My son, whose 11, has GBM grade 4 unmethalated. We want to give him the best possible chance as his tumour couldn’t be removed entirely. We really prayed about it and help guided to this site and discovered a thread about the “cocktail” approach. Our son takes: Cimetidine, chloroquine and metformin everyday. He also takes cannabis oil 3 times a day. He is on the following supplements: Selenium Tumeric Probiotics B17 Milk thistle B12 Biotin Quercertin Omega 3. He takes 15mg of melatonin before he goes to bed each night. We researched this all so carefully. At the last scan just after Radiotherapy, the tumour has shrunk. He has another scan on 28th so we are really praying for more positive news. He’s just finished round 3 of chemotherapy and has another 9 to go. He’s been so well in comparison to many people and I put some of that down to the cannabis! I hope that helps! Kirsty.
