ulcerated esophagus after radiation

I was treated with 5weeks of daily radiation and weekly chemo 8 months ago for stage 3 N-1 and a few months afterwards the endo and biopsies came up clean. Gained weight back and have been feeling back to normal until a few weeks ago when I started having gastro discomfort. Got an endoscopy and was told that the scarred area has developed an ulcer. Obviously I have to modify diet but am looking for others who had similar issues to tell me what they did and how it did/didn't help.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dave,

Sorry to hear about the issues with eating. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions or experience to share, in fact, I have a question. I would appreciate any input from tiu on this.

My dad is NED since Nov. 2016, but there's mild esophagus stricture diagnosed in April 2017 when he had pain swallowing. Now, since March 2018, occasionally he faces difficulty swallowing food. The chest x-ray in March was good. So we're blood tests and abdominal ultrasound. Two days ago as well, we did an ultrasound and blood tests which are good. Do you also feel the same every now and then or it is consistent?
