Hello Shellie,

No good news. My PSA is continuing to rise. It was 1.3 end of Feb and was 4.0 today. From this result my oncologist took me off of Zytiga and prescribed Radium 223. I'm still on Lupron. I will continue the IP6 (14 scoops daily) and will add beta glucan, reservatrol+C, and European milk thistle for another month...hoping the add'l time is what is needed for those supplements to be effective.

Take Care, Monty

Hello Shellie,

I'm okay...PSA is continuing to rise...a little over 4. ALP is high 155. One oncologist has recommended radium 223. Another (yesterday) told me no way...absolutely not the right time for it...would not consider ordering it for me. So I guess I'll ask a third. The one who said "no", had concerns that it would shut the door for me for any future chemo. From what I've read about it...not sure this is completely accurate.

How are you and your uncle?

Take Care,

Monty

Uncle is ok i guess his psa went up to 45 and they put him another med along with the injection. and hes due a psa this month. i have notuced since he has started in tablet hes forgetful at time, and he conpains about being sire at times then it goes away  ike at moment his leg is sore front of it . and am not usre if it from bone or sinple because he lays on top of bed all day. he seems depressed a bit the weather over here has been lovey and sunny and he has not once wanted to go out  like last week his excuse was i have a sore arm !!!! but that left and this weke its the leg says its sore when he puts weight on it.

i still have him on ip6 he gets 14 capsules in morning and 12 at night  Me i just have to get on with it as he will not go in to rest bit to give me a break  point blank refuses

Hey shellie,

Doing okay...yes, still taking ip6, but at a reduced dosage. Just doing 4 scoops every other day. Gave up on it helping with my PSA. Great to hear that your uncle is doing okay. I believe your uncle is ver lucky to have you as a caregiver.

I'll be starting Xofigo (radium 223) in the very near future. Will start a new thread here (cancercompass) asking if anyone has experience with it and is willing to share.

Take Care, Monty
