My grandmother was diagnosed with neuroendocrine  Cancer of the duodenum And it spread to the liver. She had the Whipple procedure in January of this year. She recovered well however now we are dealing with  High fevers for 2 weeks in the hospital. The oncologist says it is not her cancer however she has negative urine , stool and blood cultures.  My mother and I feel she has something underlying going on with her cancer. She has been in the hospital for 2 weeks on a rehab floor and they are persistent for her to do rehab however we want her to find out what's going on with these fevers. She also has encephalopathy  According to the most recent brain mri she had do to increase confusion. Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on us as we are all new to this  And see if there are other options that we should pursue as we are not being heard in the hospital or by the oncologist.
