My husband has been fighting this cancer for almost 11 years.

He has just gone through his 8th surgery, as the cancer has recurred and he also has had metasasis to his lungs.

Last surgery was due to tumor causing bowel obstruction.

Most importantly, is that you find a sarcoma specialist/hospital.  This is a rare cancer and must be treated by those whom specialize.  My husband is a patient at Sloan Kettering in NYC

Please be aware that this cancer has many subtypes, and the treatment that may work for one, may not work for another.  Another reason why it is so hard to treat.

Surgery still remains the first option to manage this cancer.  If there is no metastasis, and surgeon can get clear margins, you have a better chance of it not coming back for a long time.

Depending on where you live, Sloan Kettering in NYC, and also I heard MD Anderson

If you have any specific questions regarding the cancer, please let me know.  As I said, battling over ten years now, the experiences are like no other.
