I don't know

I've had cancer two times, and if my biopsy comes back positive for cancer this will be of course the third time. My family is deceased and I'm alone. The word cancer is a scary thought. It all started with a light brown discharge accompanied by a foul odor. To me, it smelled like urine. (My doctor told me a couple years back I had a mass in my bladder) so he wanted to explore with a camera. I screamed in pain the entire time so he quit before he could reach my bladder and that was the end of that. (I have a lot of scar tissue in my urethra due to UTI's). I never persued that type of procedure again, so I don't know if the mass is still there or not. (I haven't seen anyone else about it). The doctor I see now thinks the light brown stains are dried blood. I am skeptical about it. My doctor said I have abnormal cells in my cervix and tells me I have to travel 50 or so miles to see a specialist. I'm not certain I want to do that.

Anyone else have a situation close to mine?

Thanks for taking time to read.

I am SO sorry you are expriencing this. It seems like you must feel like you are very alone. You are not alone. I hear you and feel you.

I am not in a very similar situation, but facing a LEEP next week and feeling very pissed off about it and upset. The colposcopy biopsy I had was incredibly painful - one of the most painful things I've ever been through. They told me I would feel a "pinch." All the medical websites I've seen say the say thing. For many, this is a VERY painful procedure.

Your camera 'exploration' procedure sounds similarly painful. I'm so sorry you went through that.

Now, I feel like I can't trust what they're telling me abou the LEEP.

Please lt me know how you are doing.
