Petra, I did not post that meassage. I noticed you mentioned my name. It came from Oriane and I do not know that person. I would never tell you to let your dog go or end Nikas suffering. One thing you will find from the Facebook group is no one pushes you in one direction or the other. It’s a very supportive group with a lot of knowledgeable pet parents. You will find many do just piroxicam, or chemo, radiation, stents, holistic, surgery. All kinds of ideas and support. My girl lived over a year until age 12. You will find others who are older and obviously some younger. You will find you are not alone. Just know for me, I won’t ever tell you what to do. I’ll just support you like many others in the group. You know Nika better than anyone :). I’ll see you over there soon :)

I’m sorry Sarah. I know it came from Oriane and wanted to address to her, but when I went to answer on my phone I couldn’t return to the thread and had forgotten her username. I’m sorry if it came across in a way that I was addressing you. Was not my intention. I addressed you thanking you for letting the forum lady know I needed to be approved. Thanks again and sorry for any confusion.

Oh it’s ok! I’m not upset with you. I was more afraid you thought I wrote that post. I don’t agree with them ;). We are good :)

Give some Hemp Oil in the food three times a day. It has reduced my CLL Leukemia to stage 0.

Hi everyone. Sorry to reply to the last post on this thread. . Seem to be the only way for me to post. I am new to this forum. My girl Nika, 10year old Chocolate Lab, has recently been diagnosed with TCC. Inoperable. We started Piroxicam and will be starting chemo next week. I live in Alaska and treatments available to us are very limited. I read a lot about laser ablation and I think it seems like a good idea in Nikas case to buy more timeto make the chemo and Piroxicam work. I have been trying to find vets that actually do laser ablation and are semi close to me. I’m looking at a Seattle first of course. I see there is a vet in NJ as well as TX. Does any of you wonderful people know of any vets that do laser ablation along the West Coast? WA, OR or CA? Anything closer than TX would be great as I’m trying to keep travel time for my girl as short as possible. I did read a good part of the super long thread about TCC and found a lot of info there but nothing closer than TX. Internet searches seem to come up with the same vets over and over again. Any info that could help me would be super appreciated! Best of luck to all of you and your pups!

Hi Nika's Mom,  so sorry to hear of your dog's diagnosis.  My 7 yr old male Belgian Tervuren "Texas" was diagnosed in Dec. 2016 with TCC and is still going strong!  He had debulking surgery followed by 6 chemo treatments - the first was mitoxantrone, then we went to the AMC in NYC for intra-arterial chemo alternating with Intravenous chemo.  He also is on piroxicam that I started right away. He finished chemo in JUne 2017, and now is just getting Piroxicam (along wtih pepcid 20 mg twice a day - he's had no stomach issues!).   He also gets some supplements- Rx for Pets Hepatic Support, Cranberry RX and EFA (essential fatty acids).   He eats great, is active and has no trouble urinating.  His tumor has started growing again but seems to be growing slowly so we just take it day by day.  There is blood showing up in his urinalysis now but not visible blood. Cherishing EVERY day with my boy!   Our goal is maybe he'll make it to his 8th birthday in September. Or longer!  The only place I know out west that does intra-arterial chemo is the University of California in Davis.   Have you checked them out?  Good luck and wishing you and Nika the best.

Thank you Timberwind Terfs. Thank you so much for the encouragement. Some time has passed since Nikas diagnosis. We ate doing chemo (mitoxicane) along with Piroxicam and the same 20mg pepsid dose you are giving your boy. Also no stomach issues here so far. Yay for that! We had another ultrasound to check after 2 chemo treatments and the tumors have not grown since diagnosis in late November of 2017. I have her on a ton of supplements. She’s taking ACHH, CBD oil, fish oil, Glutamine (recommended during chemo), turmeric golden paste, broccoli sprouts and longevity (which both my girls have been on for years). I also recently started her on Essiac Tea which seems to be a wonder drug for a lot of people anddogs with cancer.... Nika is 10.5 now and if I can make her go to 13 without losing her quality of life I will be super happy. So far so good. I feel like we have a grip on it and not as helpless anymore as when I posted here. I also was able to talk to a vet in Seattle about laser ablation. It is done there so the option is available and close enough for me to pursue which made me feel a ton better. I wish you all the best for you and your boy. Long life and kicking cancers butt! We are all in this together. Thank you so much for the encouragement!

I see you are giving CBD oil. while that would be good for overall health, it most probably will not help with Cancer.

to be effective for Cancer a real Hemp Oil with high THC content would be better for cancer treatment. see Youtube or phoenixtears dot ca for more info on Cancer treatment.

Hello all, My Beagle Coco was just diagnosed with TCC and I’m looking at options for laser ablation bladder cancer or UGELAB. I know there’s Ridgewood in New Jersey and one in Texas and possibly Indiana. Is anyone aware of a vet hospital on the West Coast? I would be truly grateful if anyone could provide info. Thank you very much :)
