Has anyone heard of essiac tea which is supposed to help prevent cancer and can reverse cancer that someone already has. This web site was sent to me and I am interested but not sure if we should try it. My husband has glioblastome multiforme grade 4 with regrowth 3 months after first resection.

Both my naturopath and medical/alternative doctor highly recommend Essiac. Here are two links which are informative. The first one is a history of Essiac and the second one includes the recipe for making it in volume at home which is what I choose to do for quality control as well as economy. Hope this is helpful http://www.essiacinfo.org/ http://www.theherbs.info/recipe1.html

Thanks so much Shemay...just wondering where you get the ingrediants???  I went to the health food store and they don't have three of them.  Also, do you take 4 ounces twice daily, one hour before or after two meals???

Try an herb shoppe - one that sells fresh and dried herbs in bulk.  If they don't have what you need, ask them if they can  order it for you (you can also ask the people at the health food store if they can order what you need.) You can also get most stuff by ordering online - go to goodsearch.com and type in your search item.  I find that Goodsearch gives better options on medical stuff than does Google.

Sincerely,

Tre

Hi

I used essiac tea when I was healing.  I had stage 4 melanoma.

I did a lot of natural healing stuff and I believe it all contributed to my survival.  I have been cancer free for 12 years.

Hi dllfb Perhaps the health food store will order in the ingredients for you. I found one that would special order organic for me. If that doesn't work out for you, it is possible to buy the bulk mixture online. If you do a Google search for "bulk ingredients for Essiac tea" you'll find a few sites. The dose recommended by my naturopath is 1/4 cup Essiac mixed into 1/4 cup boiled water first thing in morning and last thing at night. Take care

Hi Iam sorry for what your going thru.My best friend had stage 4 melanoma with 35 mets to lungs. After 2 years of chemo the oncologist said he had less than a year to live.A nurse neighbor got him on essiac 3x a day 2oz and 2oz of warm water. He went back to oncologist for 3 month ct scan and no cancer found, that was 5 1/2 years ago. My wife now is stage 4 rectal cancer with 3 mets to lungs she couldnt take the chemo. She will be on the tea 2 months when she gets her ct 1/19/09 where praying for good results. The only place to get the tea is herbalhealer.com,this is where my friend got it as did I. You have to get the bulk tea which you will make. This is the best and most trusted to buy.I will be posting my wifes results after her ct scan. May God bless you both
