Please Get Several Opinions

My husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in November of 2004. On Jan. 2005 they removed his esophagus and on March 4, 2005 we found out his biopsy was mixed up with someone elses. When they do the removal of the esophagus they have to make a mn made hernia and a stitch came hoose and part of his bowel and small intestine was protrudeing into his stomach which is at his throat now, so they had to go back in and fix that. He has had 8 dilitations (stretching of the stomach and the esophagus). In total he has had 10 surgeries since Jan. 4, 2005. He will never be able to lay flat again so he is home with a hospital bed, feeding tube in, oxygen, and health watch for when I am not home. The reason I am telling you this is please make sure you get several opinions, we had 3 doctors and all he had was a ulcer. Thank you for listening and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me we have been through it all and still are going through it. They also wanted to put in a polyflex stent, but not enough pros and too many cons for it. Now they want me to dialate my husband at home for me to do it. I said no they can continue doing it at the hospital. It was thier fault. Thanks Kim
