Hi all,

Has anyone tried the Vitamin C Infusion?  I am seriously considering trying it  but also I don't want to harm me.  From what I hear is that it can hurt you.

Regards,

Jenna.

There are many other cancer patients at the clinic I go to receiving this treatment as well and I have never heard of one serious adverse reaction. Prior to administering the first large quantity of ascorbate, the following information is gathered for a baseline and as a way to monitor therapy: Serum chemistry profile with electrolytes........... Complete blood count with differential........... Red blood cell G6PD........... Urinalysis............. Patient weight.......... Tumor type/staging .......... Appropriate serum tumor markers.......... Appropriate CT, MRL, bone scans, and x-ray imaging........... And as a further precaution a very low dose is used in the first infusion and the patient's reactions are noted................. At one time a predisposition to kidney stone formation was considered a contraindication for this treatment but further research has shown magnesium oxide and vitamin B6 inhibited oxalate stone formation in stone formers............... Here are some links with information that might help you in making an informed decision.............Blessings...... http://www.medpagetoday.com/HematologyOncology/OtherCancers/ http://www.doctoryourself.com/riordan1.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/09/070910132848.ht http://www.canceractive.com/page.php?n=470 http://orthomolecular.org/resources/omns/v01n09.shtml

Shemay - thank you for your v. useful post. Is there any indication that all the VitC treatment has had any impact on your cancer?

Thanks - Julie
