Hang in there - in many ways the initial shock is the most difficult adjustment (was for me any way. I'm very fortunate that I have 19 years soberity and work an active AA program. my Home group gets me to a daily 6AM meeting and then to work! ONE MAN'S OPINION Even if you don't have a drug/alcohol problem the foundation of any of the "twelve Step" programs can be applied DIRECTLY to our situation. It is what has brought me through so far - in good spirits and positive attitude. my dx was 3/2/05 (GBMIV). Resection (With GladiaL wafer) same date. Radiation (w/Temador last 3-4 wks. Then Temador 1st week of month (Nov will be last round. Fortunate with minimal side effects (couple of relatively nasty weeks (Balance and Fatigue put me in wheelchair for a couple weeks but that has cleared (using a cane for balance and support w2hen getting up or down. working pretty much full time.
