A few months ago, there was an article in People magazine about a woman who had glioblastoma multiforme, and I believe she had written a book about her experiences. Does anyone know the author or the name of the book? A good friend of ours was recently diagnosed--she is 42 years old, and the article was of interest to her. Thank you--Truelue

Trudi B. The name of the book is "Front to Back" by Lynn Kohlman (I have seen it on Amazon). Lynn was on Oprah about 6 weeks ago and her story is truly amazing. Little did I know when I was watching the show that I would be diagnosed with GBM IV three weeks later. I haven't purchased the book yet but I definitly plan on doing so. I have a couple of other books that I am reading by survivors that I want to read first. The advise that everyone is giving me is to be as educated as you can be with regard to your treatments, etc. The doctors are doom and gloom when it comes to the diagnosis of GBM, but tell your friend to stay positive and she will survive this experience. I know that my attitude and faith along with the love, support and prayers of many, many people will help me to maybe not beat this diagnosis but learn to live with it as so many, many are already doing. I will keep your friend in my prayers. Eileen
