Lucy1983, when my wife had ET and neither Hydrea or Anagrelide reduced her platelets, I learned Tocotrienol from red palm oil could and later learned it is a JAK2 inhibitor and it did restore platelet levels to normal while still on Anagrelide. Her doctor weaned her off the Anagrelide and she stopped taking the Tocotrienol. We thought the problem was resolved. We were not told about progression. She eventually was diagnosed with Primary Myelofibrosis. She now takes 125 mg of Delta Tocotrienol from annatto X 4 a day (seperate taking supplements containing Tocopherols by at least four hours), 15 ml liposomal vitamin C X 3 a day, Theracurcumin (consider a liposomal curcumin), 200 mcg selenium X 4, 12 mg Astaxathin X 2, 15 mg vitamin K2 MK4 X 6. She uses 80,000 SPU Serrapaetase X 2 a day which you should research for fibromyalgia, 3 mg boron x 4 a day, 650 mg magnesium glycinate a day, B complex containing Folate and Methylcobalamin and 500 mg krill oil. Also look into quercetin and berberine. This is what had she started when the platelets responded, in my opinion, would have put the ET in remission and prevented progression. You can also benefit my reading the Myelofibrosis message board. Research each of the above to become knowledgeable about the effect they have on all of your health issues and to avoid possible negative reactions. Many of them are JAK2 & 3 and STAT3 inhibitors and are also cancer fighters so be on the lookout for that. Before proceeding with any supplements please discuss them with your health professionals.
