Very rare cancer, discovered during CAT for emergency appendectomy. Golf ball size tumor under umbilicus resting on bladder. Surgery 2 months after appendectomy removed tumor and 1/4 blader. Had spread into adjoining tissue so3 months later had further surgery to remove the unbilical ligament, a 3 inch by 15 inch incision! Cancer had spread to pelvic lymph nodes, and started chemo CPT11. This has worked well without much of the horrible side effects and the cancer apparently has not metastasized, altho they were very concerned about that happening. I have 3 more of 22 treatments with a chest port. Would be very interested in chatting with others with this cancer or with any information on possible recurrence and survival. I feel fortunate I have tolerated all this quite well, but concerned about the future, of course. THank you for any response. Jim H.
