healing yourself??

I am scheduled for a complete hysterectomy due to cervical cancer on this coming Tuesday.  I have been praying for self-healing, asking the universe or God, to help me dissolve the cancer.  Has anyone heard of this?  I am so afraid of going through surgery...

I think miracles do happen, but I also think that you need to trust the wisdom of your doctors or surgeon. If you don't, please see another one and get a second opinion.  They will be honest in their expectations of your recovery and prognosis for a quality of life. Also, please express your concerns about how the surgery will affect your life. What options do they have? I think healing happens because of medicine and other therapies, surgery and other procedures, and yes, sometimes, it's completely unexplained. But I wouldn't take my chances. I hope you receive the guidance you are looking for.

Yes it does happen, faith and positive attitude has a huge effect on your health, but I think it might be more reasonable to pray for a successful operation and a complete recovery after.

Take Cimtidine 400mg twice a day, it will prevent your body flooding with T suppressor cells, and reducing chances of mestastis caused by surgery

Last July, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer.  A few weeks later, she had a mild heart-attack followed by a stroke. So she has been dealt a triple-whammy! She was unable to be operated on due to the high risk on her heart.

She went through a horrible round of Chemo and Radio and we watched her already low weight drop significantly.

She is now slowly recovering and is living on a cocktail of heart and blood pressure-related meds as well as some alternative immune-system boosting tablets.  It has been six months since she got sick...but she is hanging in there.

Through it all, I feel that self-healing is a major part of recovery.  Watch "The Secret" to show you how, especially the section on "Health".  My mother attributes part of her successful recovery to us, her loved ones, being there and caring for her. We are there, we are positive, which in turn makes her positive.  It is amazing what the human mind can do to overcome illness and don't forget to look after yourself.  Cut out red meat and sugar as these are considered cancer food.  Increase your vegetable and anti-oxidant intake...and ultimately say to yourself everyday "I am better, I am better"....

I send positive vibes your way....good luck and if you would like to reply, i would love to hear from you....

I just wanted you to know my story....God can heal you if its His will....This is my second time going through cancer...the first was breast cancer...had a mastectomy and reconstruction...horrible time with staph infection and emerg. surgery due to plastic surgeons neglect...changed my diet 100% as follows...organic meat...none with added hormones...no preservatives in food..nothing in a box...no sugar as it feeds cancer cells...ate foods that fight is cancer...broccoli is number one...anyting green is good...carrots, red bell peppers....fruit, blueberries #1...all berries also...i would eat Talapia. Cod and tuna, organic chicken sometimes....add flaxseed to food, eat almonds for snacks....did this for 8 months and went and had scans and blood work done...my oncologist told me that it wasnt showing anything anywhere....I still to this day say that it is our food!!!!!!!!  Im battleing cancer once again...this time its in the omentum...lining before the organs....after 2 1/2 months  before getting to see a surgeon, i did today...of course they want to do chemo first...standard protocol....not in my regimine....i can have the surgery with a big cut from the sternum down past my belly button...no thanks...my tumor markers had dropped from 45 to 27.25 since the first one 2 1/2 months ago...I continue to do what im doing...Im trusting God for his full healing and if he chooses not to then i know where im going....you need a good church praying for you!  You can never have enough prayers.....have faith!

thank you.  I am afraid that my faith may not be strong enough to have his blessings, but I am reading about self-healing through other sources. I agree that food is a big contributing factor to getting cancer, so I have changed my diet to include some of the foods you mentioned.  Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Louise Hay is an author that wrote You Can Heal Your Life, which is very informational.  She states that most diseases, including cancer, have been created through our own pent-up negative emotions, such as anger, jealousy, etc.  It is something I could identify with.

I will continue to learn, and pray and hope my faith grows stronger.

I hope that your faith heals your cancer once again.  You must be a very strong believer.

I will say a prayer for you, as well.

wow. I had no idea about the chemo problems.  I better do more research.  This is all so new and so overwhelming.  I want to trust the medical doctors, but I have always been so skeptical of our medical system... keeping people sick is so beneficial to them... but who do you believe when you get sick?  This is a first for this healthy woman!
