We Are All On A Journey

I lost my 46th yr old brother in 6 weeks ago.  It was a 2 yr battle.  I think when they are 1st dx you are in the fighting stage.   When it happens you are so exhausted and now have to face this very painful reality.  I am so sad and depressed - a tragic end to a young persons life. Grief is a painful process. No one can carry this burden but us.  My heart breaks for all of you as I know what your going through.  You are in my prayers tonight.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Indeed, a young person your brother was.  Unfortunately this decease doesn't see age, sex, race, etc., I've read so many cases...My mom is 83 and she's on her last days.  I've gone through all the stages you described, from scared and shocked to fighting to exhaustion.  From being sad to depressed.  But I never lost hope until now that I'm facing the painful reality.  I just wish science would be more advanced to know what causes gbm.  There is a lot of research for other types of cancer.  This one is an enigma.  So little is known as to why it happens...what triggers it...   Next time I write in here, mom will be probably gone...

You are so right GRIEF is a painful process, we still go through it in our own way and in our own time. Today it has been one month since i lost my husband. I think about him all of the time, a part of me is afraid that I will forget him, I look at photos everyday, everyone griefs in their own way. One thing that is helping me soooooooo much is sharing my memories and feelings with people who understand what we are going through, you all are in my prayers. Sandra

You will never forget him, he is part of you.  I am 43 and lost my mom when I was 17- I just dreamed of her last night- we never forget, dont worry about that!

I know what you are all going through.  I lost my dad one month ago and my heart is aching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's surreal.  Seems so longs ago at times, yet it seems like yesterday that he was here.
