Anyone had any dreams?

The second night away I had just drifted off to sleep a bit. Everyone else was still awake.

I saw my Phil a short distance away from me. He was looking towards me. I said "I love you!" He smiled and the smile was radiant. He was actually glowing and full of health. He didn't speak but patted his heart in response to my telling him I loved him. He also had a leash in his hand and a small dog.  I was so concentrating on him I did not really look to see which former dog he might be walking.

I woke and turned to my son crying but they were tears of joy to see him so glowing and vibrant.

My neighbor who has some paranormal stuff going on last week said Phil mentioned Tom Petty. Phil loved all kinds of music. Anyway today as I drove a Tom Petty song came on and in it he sang "I'm Free." From Free Falling." Irene

You need to talk to Gold Dust Woman, eastwest.  She had a very similar experience.  I get "signs" from my deceased loved ones, mostly my mom.  However, GDW has actually SEEN the other side, compliments of her grandmother.  You should PM her, if you can.

I KNOW he came to you.  I'm a firm believer in life after death - I've read and seen much on the subject, and there's too much evidence out there to NOT believe.

I'm so happy that Phil came to you.  He was expressing his love for you and that he's fine, along with your dog.

You were truly blessed to have this happen!

Love and prayers to you

DeAnne

Hi De Anne

I have believed in messages from the otherside ever since I read the book Feathers Brush My Heart by Sinclar Lewis which is shorts from daughters who have lost their moms and get signs from them, one of which was feathers. After reading a few of I received my first feather in a very strange, unexplainable manner for it to be where it was. I've shared my feather story with my patients and fellow nurses and even those who thought it strange became believers once it happened to them. I usually feel weird sharing but it always seems the perfect time. My DIL thought I was a bit off til she went to visit her father's grave, returned to the car which was not opened and found a feather sitting on her seat. Later she told me and asked me how it happened. I have no clue, just know it does and its a comfort.

Seeing Phil... I don't know if it was a dream or vision as i had barely closed my eyes for a few minutes and don't know if dreams happen that quickly. Just know he looked so amazing and glowing with health. If you hear from Gold Dust woman please have her contact me. Thank you. Irene

eastwest,

I have never read that book...I may look it up!  I read "Hello from Heaven", which is another terrific book about signs and what to expect.  I have never received feathers from my mom, but pennies GALORE!  We find them all over!  My dad literally says, "Pennies drop from Heaven" in his house.  They just come out of nowhere - he just hears them hit the ground.  Whenever I feel that she isn't with me, for some unknown reason, I find a penny.  It's her way of letting me know she IS there.  Just like your vision, and the feathers.

You are blessed to have had this experience, and you will treasure it all of your life.

Blessings to you,

DeAnne

Irene, I am so happy that you have sen Phil and that he looked so well and that you could communicate with each other. It is such a comfort when something like this happens.

When we talked of feathers before, I decided to read that book and I haven't yet, but now I must get round to it.

Hi Irene,

Yes I have dreams.  Two types.  The first type is very upsetting as they are Hospice dreams - the end.  Dad is wearing different clothes, I recognize HIS clothes, different scenarios and one in particular he said; "when I get home I promise I will quit smoking".  I was like - wait - he's not coming home, he's dying.  I wake up very upset.  I had another - totally different one on Monday.  Not a way I wanted to start my day much less week.  These dreams are so upsetting and exhausting.

On Memorial Day I feel like I had a visit.  It was weird.  After it, I wanted to go back to sleep to see him, hug him, kiss him, smell him and talk to him again.  It was weird.  I saw him on the sidelines of a basketball game.  Not in the stands, but where the action was.  He used to coach backetball when we were kids, but he was a bystander.  He was younger, in a jogging suit and baseball hat - he really never wore those clothes.  He had curly hair it was darker.  He did perm his hair a few times.  It was him.  I observed him watching the game, smiling and eating his favorite food - popcorn.  He always placed a few pieces on his tongue.  it was how he ate it.  I saw him, yelled Dad, he smiled, we ran towards each other, we hugged and I said I LOVE YOU in his ear.  i always told him how much I loved him.  We then parted and I waved goodbye like I knew we weren't staying together.  Well, I didn't want to get out of bed after that.    Like I mentioned, I wanted to relive the embrace, hug, everything!  I started my morning thinking it was maybe a message that he is okay.  Later that day I cleaned my car.  I was thinking last year when I cleaned my car I would call him before or after (we worked together so we talked all the time).  I was thinking first time washing it with him gone.  I've had the car detailed and vacuumed a few times since he's passed inside and out.  I decided to vacumn and on the floor was what looked like a coin - a quarter.  I picked it up and it was silver, not a quarter, and it said BELIEVE on it.  Same day as the dream or visit.  I called my sister who was in my car months ago and she did say it belonged to her.  She kept it in her wallet.  She didn't know she lost it.  My cars been vacuumed and she hasn't been in it since Jan, Feb or March.  Kind of odd on that particular day it was face up on the passenger rug.  I bawled.

I cry almost every day.  I long for my Dad.  Work is going VERY VERY well (again we worked together on a new and exciting venture).  Today the partners called me and told told me that a huge meeting today went well - best ever - huge new client.  I started crying on the phone.  Dad is helping me.  One of the partners told the client that it was my Dad's vision and that he passed away before the first meeting with this client that was in March.  Tears of joy yet anguish for the man I loved will ALL OF MY HEART.

My life would be soooo good if he were here, but he isn't so it's not soooo good.  It BLAH!

I Love Dad,

I have read your posts from Day 1 of your journey, and your father was very dear to you.  Yes - you had a visit from your dad.  It was his way to tell you that he's there with you, and that he'll love you forever, and that you WILL meet again - have faith.

The coin was another sign.  There's a family here in our town who lost their son to cancer a few years ago.  The mother was grieving so horribly, that she was seriously depressed.  One day, she was out walking in a prairie we have, and she looked down, and there on the ground was a card with "Believe" on it.  She felt so much better after that.

It's wonderful that your dad is still helping you - even from the other side!  How cool is that?!?!

I know you're still grieving - your dad hasn't been gone very long.  It takes time.  The first year is the hardest - going through all the special days and holidays, but then you'll learn your "new normal".  He'll still be in your thoughts, and you'll reminisce with your family about happy times, and "remember when dad did ______?" moments!  My mom's been gone for 9 years, and now that Dad's sick, we talk about some of those "remember when" times A LOT!

Take care of yourself.

Love and hugs,

DeAnne

I have not had dreams, but I have had many things happen while I'm awake....I (now) believe there is another dimension...a dimension we cannot understand because it is so very different from this dimension we are in.  I believe in God, so maybe this 'dimension' is heaven and how it crashes into our world 'earth'.  Keep your eyes and heart open, and Phil will be there! You will see/feel/hear him.
