I see too many diet related recommendations that are really crap. People need to remember or realize that what is bad for someone may help others. There is no one size fits all treatment or recommendations for diet.

My personal beef with the quoted message is Oily Food. Let me just highlight a few personal benefits of oily food. Oily food has done what no doctor or medicine has been able to do for me.

Severe bowel problems that would make constipation feel like relief, very near bowel obstruction that was quite painful occurring nearly once a week for 3 years.  Prescription stool softeners and the like were 100% useless. Products like Dulcolax, 3 a day every day for 2 months was useless. Oily food has eliminated 95% of the problem.

Debilitating daily fatigue gone! The search for a way to increase caloric intake without wheat or soy powders gone!

A combination of things cause the problems, mainly surgery that forever changed the way the body digests food. I have a permanent liquid diet. This prevents food from remaining in the stomach long enough for the natural digestion of food. The worst possible foods for me are the liquid nutritions most hospitals use. Nutrin, Jevity, Boost and Ensure to name a few are avoided at all costs.

No one with any common sense consumes a lot of oily food unless they are in the market for heart disease, high cholesterol and other problems.

I use to avoid fat and oil like it was a disease because I am from a long line of people with artery and heart problems. Very few have ever survived beyond the age of 65. When the dietician recommended foods with a lot of butter and beef I questioned her diet. She was rather and snippy becaused questioned her diet too much. Said in my condition why worry about it. The only positive note doctors had was that if I did not find a way to take in more calories I would slowly starve to death.

Searching for healthy high calorie food is like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack. What I commonly found listed to be the highest in calorie was chocolate and coconut oil. Chocolate was dismissed as just expensive junk food. I tried coconut oil just to increase calories. The benefit I received was totally unexpected overnight relief. I had energy and I could stand up without falling down.

I have for years told many people healthy food packed with high amounts of antioxidants was a waste. Just a gimmick to prompt people to buy a load of crap. There is now someone out there who shares my belief.

All you health food junkies should at least give this a readhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/50405817

My cancer is very different in that treatment has had a very profound impact on dietary issues. The ability to chew eat swallow were all surgically removed.

"Eat balanced diet and drink maximumwater"

Not a chance! A balanced diet is no longer a remote consideration. What is drinking water? Over the past 5 years I sincerely doubt I have drank more than 6 glasses (Bottles) of water period. I do not recommend my diet to anyone! I do not relish being labeled an Idiot. But I have learned what works for me. After nearly 2 years of experimenting with coconut oil I have reached only 2 of what I would call Facts. All coconut oils are not the same and coconut oil makes what I consume remain in my stomach longer. I have no reliable information suggesting anyone else could benefit from it.
