FREAKED out Jaw cancer?

Hi guys, So the past two months periodically when I'm eating I notice a very intense pain in my jaw...seems to be my lower jaw. It's to the point that I need to stop eating for a few minutes, it almost seems like it goes into my ear even. It feels like a pins and needles type feeling too. I've also had swollen lymph nodes under my jaw. Well this pain woukd only happen maybe once every two weeks so I would ignore it each time, where as the past week one particular spot on the lower right jaw is very soar. Only when u touch it though. So I began googling my symptoms and it came up as jaw cancer almost exactly. Apparently the early stages of jaw cancer cause a pins and needles feeling in your mouth and jaw, and tender to the touch which is where the cancer tissue cells are growing etc. It also stated that lymph node activity is a huge red flag sympton as well. Having said all this, I FREAKED out...almost passed out from anxiety. Went to the hospital and discussed my concerns with them. The doctor there did a routine oral cancer check in my mouth and seen no signs. I then talked to her about the possibility of jaw cancer which she said was exceedingly rare, especially at my age. But to be certain she did an xray of my entire head and told me she's 99.9% sure I don't have jaw cancer and that my xray of the jaw came back perfect with zero abnormalities. I'm still not at ease because I'm worried it may just be so early in the stages that maybe there was not enough tissue or cell or cancer buildup to show on the xray. What if it's just starting? Is there any other test I can do? What do u guys think? and it can't be my teeth because my teeth themselves don't hurt and aren't showing any signs of absess.

Could a CT Scan or a PET Scan show something more?  Don't stress out until you know ... and then whatever you might have, it can work out if you are calm and focused.  Good luck!
