KEYTRUDA WORKS

If you have Melonoma, ask your Oncologist to put you on the max dose of KEYTRUDA.  I have been at the Angeles Clinic West Los Angeles for 1.5 years with Stage IV lung cancer.  I have seen hundreds of Melonoma patients come in there and met many that have been coming there for years.  I am telling you that everyone I have met in the waiting room (and we all talk) is either in remission or somewhere on the path to being gone.  This includes people with brain - lung - and other organs from metistatic melonoma. I have only met two other lung patients like me and they are also a growing sucess story.

Don't wait, this is the latest and greatest medicine for a very deadly cancer.  I have seen it and enjoy the results with my own eyes and body.  If you need proof, I can send you a doctors article written about me and others on this drug.  There are little to no side effects.  (itchy spots - had some swollen cheeks and dry eyes)

God Bless you, your family and God for his will injected into the minds and hands of our best scientists!

I asked my husbands oncologist about Keytruda.  He has stage 3C melanoma.  I was told it is only approved to be given when other treatments like interferon have been unsuccessful.  A rule by the FDA.  He is currently on a 1 year interferon treatment plan and is now doing 3 shots a week.  The side effects havent been as bad as we thought.  Dont know what is ahead but have some hope.

It is true that at the moment, interferon is the only medication approved by FDA for stage IIIc at this point (unless you are able to do a trial where they are testing other meds incl. immunotherapy such as yervoy in stage IIIc patients)...my husband was IIIc and unfortunately, the interferon did not "agree" with him so he wasn't able to do more than 1 infusion. However, when he became stage 4, he tolerated yervoy very well. I am hoping for the future that the FDA will approve anyone at highest risk of reoccurence to receive yervoy or pd1 as a standard course of treatment - why wait until someone is Stage 4 to get the best drugs? The trials they are doing now on stage IIIc patients will bear this out. My sister in law had melanoma years ago removed, did interferon for the whole year, etc. and has not had a reoccurence. She had some side effects but generally speaking, it wasn't bad for her. Very lucky! Good luck to you!

We are hoping for Keytruda next as my husband appears to have progressed somewhat on Yervoy - although we know it can take some time for Yervoy to kick in...curveball was thrown at us as they told him he was BRAF (we are confirming it) so would have to do BRAF first as per FDA regulations and then could have Keytruda. Anyone know a patient who was BRAF positive and was able to get onco to get Keytruda right away? We spoke to an onco who said he was able to do this for us and we are meeting him next week. My husband has a very low tumor burden (the BRAF drugs are great for reducing tumor burden quickly but patients typically develop resistance) so we would rather keep him on immunotherapy as he tolerates it well and save the BRAF in case his tumor burden becomes uncomfortable..

At this point my husband hasn't had cancer anywhere else but in the lymph nodes and the primary wasn't found.  I am hopeful the interferon works for him to keep the cancer away.  Thanks for the info.

My Husband Pat was diagnosed with stage lV Mucosal Melanoma of his maxillary sinus in 8/2014, His Oncologist at UCLA immediately placed him on Yervoy and 38 rounds of radiation. In 9/2014, he received his first treatment of Yervoy. Feb 2015 we were told Yervoy wasn’t working and the tumor was working its way to his eye and would eventually reach his brain. Within a few days my husband was placed on Keytruda (PD1). After his 1st infusion, the next morning my hasband came running into the room with excitement and tears in his eyes screaming, I can breathe! Keep in mind; he wasn’t able to breathe through his nose since before 8/2014.  Keytruda is amazing! It saved my husband’s life. Last month he went in for his first PET scan since starting Keytruda. When we went in for the results there was a post it notes attached from the radiologist stating “The tumor is completely gone! If I hadn’t known better, I would have thought someone had taken a scalpel and cleared it out. My husband was inoperable and now the tumor is 100% gone! Thank God and Thank you Merck and the amazing scientist and oncologist foe their hard continued work in Cancer Research

OMG what a wonderful result. Thanks for sharing!

Did I really read this correctly, it worked after one infusion? Amazing!
