Germany agreed to apply dcvax to patients and NW Bio is getting ready to open a facility in Leipzig. But they did NOT start to accept patients yet. According to their statements they will accept both newly diagnosed and recurrent patients. But off course they make the vaccine with a sample of each patient's brain tumor so you need to apply before the surgery. They have a special procedure to save, store and transfer the sample so they may also designate a special facility for the surgery. (or maybe contact your hospital for requirements) Patient gets vaccinated for 3 years and they give all doses to you once they produce your custom made vaccine. So you dont need to go to their facility to get each vaccine shot. And the price is predicted to be 37000 USD for 3 years dosage.

I know Cedars was doing something about a year or two ago. It is called ICT-107  and ICT-121 (for recurrent). I think the inital reports were not wonderful but it helped some people.

Not the DC Vax but may hold some promise.

dcvax has been accepting patients in their UK program who has frozen tissues. I just got an email from them offering to put us on waiting list.

The one we looked into required at least 5grams of tumor to create the vaccine. The surgeon didn't think he could remove enough and didn't recommend a second surgery due to the chance of taking way all communication. Be sure you have all the info. Melanie
