Ovarian/Fallopian Stage 3c Progression?

Hello, my mom has been diagnosed originally with Ovarian Cancer stage 3c and then after surgery they believed it acutally originated as fallopian tube cancer? It was spread throughout her abdomen at diagnosis.  She had 3 cyles of chemo then surgery where they removed waht they thought was  98% of cancer including omentum and a bowel resection. She then had 3 more cyles of weekly chemo that ended a month ago.  Her ca-125 was 13 at the end of her last chemo.  She went in for a follow up a month later and her ca -125 is up to 58. A CT scan revealed one tumor remaining that is about 4cm but definitely smaller than the previous 7cm size. I am terrified that this is a bad sign as her numbers have started increasing so quickly.  Could it be that this one mass is resistant to the chemo but the chemo effectively worked on the rest? Waiting for results from a petscan and the Drs assure us there are lots of options still...but I am feeling discouraged.

I was just diagnosed last 11/15. First they thought it was only endometrial but then said two cancers , fallopian stage 3 and endometrial stage 1. I am almost done with chemo having had a hysterectomy and 21 nodes removed with cancer in one of them . Feeling good and positive . Sounds like your doctors are on top of everything . Good luck for continued healing

How have things gone? I was stage 3c too and am currently waiting on my labs. I am worried, as I have been having some minor symptoms and am wondering about what may be ahead.

I am sorry about your recent diagnosis but try to be positive. It is a scary thing but all you do is take one day at a time and hope for the best.  I too was diagnosed with right fallopian tube cancer stage 2c after my hysterectomy on April 13th. I currently am seeing a naturopath doctor that treats cancer and put off the chemo even though that's risky.  Will find out more when I get my cat scan done next Wednesday.  Hang in there.
