My husband has cancer at base of his tongue and left side lymph nodes in his neck. Four weeks into treatment radiation 5 days a week. Chemo - cisplatin every 3rd week. 1st chemo he was down 4 days, 2nd chemo this Monday and he is entirely drained,no energy, feels horrible 5 days later. Why isn't he feeling human like after the first chemo? Can not stand taste of anything except water so after struggling with shakes n soft foods we are going to have to go to the feeding tube. Tried magic mouthwash the 3 combo prescription . ..not helping, can't handle tastes, says everything tastes like crap, the unimaginable dog poop.how do you get enough nutrition? Can swallow it's the tastes? Hes 57 quit smoking 17 years ago was healthy, exercised and this...hard to handle. Any advice?
