anyone with this? I'm freaked out!

For the past 3 years I've been suffering with vaginal itch and discharge. Gone to the doctor several times and have come home with creams that don't work. Finally, two days ago took a good look at everything inside and out and noticed the anterior wall of my vagina is red and full of nodes. It's like a walnut sized lump coming off the vaginal wall or it is my vaginal wall swelled and bulbous. Went back to the doc today who literally didn't even look at it but referred me to a gynocologisr saying it was probably a cyst. A cyst is round and this is rough bumpy and multifaceted with bigger pieces that Come off of it and and it's covering the whole entrance. Its soft though because I've used tampons and they were easy to put in.It 's been 4 yrs since my last pap because we moved and had no income for 8 months. I was scheduled for one next week. I have discharge, itch and heaviness down there. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've gotv4 kids.... I'm feeling a bit hysterical. Thanks for sharing your stories everyone it's really helpful for everyone.

Im no expert by any means... but from your description of the visual appearance it sounds like it could all be the normal appearance and various parts of the vulva and vagina, perhaps a little inflamed from a yeast infection?...

Are you keeping your scheduled smear appointment or have you made the refered appointmeny? - Do that and then I would try to be calm and try to distract yourself with non-medical things until then.

Please let us know how you go.

my advice is to definitely see a gynocologist.  Have a urine test to check for an infection. There is something going on. I was surprised to hear the doctor didnt even look at the area. Sorry but i would find another one.  So you need some tests. Maybe blood work, catscan, and definitely make sure they check the lumps because on the sides of the vagina are your lymph nodes. Good luck and god bless

I'm not sure about the bumps but if your concern is the discharge and itching, you should look into Dr. R. Stuart Fowler @ fowlergyninternational.com .  He is out of Arizona and also he sends tests you can do @ home based on your situation.  It's a simple swab and you send it back to him in the mail and he analyzes it.  He is the only one like this in the country.  He used to work for the Mayo Clinic.  I have traveled there to see him.  He is great and has helped a lot of women.  He has done lots of research and has helped people when no one else could.  You should check it out if you can't find resolve anywhere else.  Good luck.
