Diagnosed last year with low grade serous carcinoma, chemo resistant, etc. had a good debulking surgery and on anti estrogens to slow the spread. Low grade grows slowly, but curious what that means. Mine grew 1cm+ in 3 months and I just don't know what to expect. Not getting clear answers from doc. Anyone been through this who can share experience?

Hi there!  The original message was from a year ago, and things have changed.  I did two different hormone treatments which would work for 3 - 5 months (each) then the tumors woudl grow.  In december there was quite a bit of growth and he wanted to do chemo again.  When I questioned it, having been previosuly told chemo targets fast growing types, he said our goal was "stable diesease" and he thought it would at least interrupt new growth.  Started Doxil, which wasnt terrible side effect-wise, until week 3 when i broke out in hives.  Switched to Cisplatin and Gemzar which were TERRIBLE.  Long story short, I refused further chemo too - and asked for a 3 month break in treatment.  Having been treated conventionally for two years and feeling like garbage, I wanted to try a naturopathic approach.  After one month of this, i feel GREAT.  CT scan mid July will tell if it has stopped the tumor growth, but I am committed to never doing chemo again.  Raw vegan diet, moringa, turmeric, amla, vitamin C, and exercise.  I know I wrote a novel - it is so nice to talk with someone who is familiar with LGSC - the more common ovarian cancer is almost like a different disease.  PLEASE tell me about yourself and your treatment!
