My entire family both sides, were and still are in the medical field. Dr.'s, surgical nurses, heads of................you name it and they've been and the generations go on doing so. Plus the tech world where my late husband was a hacker for the A...

I had a surgeon at the KU MED Center in Kansas City which is a teaching learning giant hospital many are sent to for speciality reasons, like Uterine Carcinosarcoma. But my OB I have for many years and is a friend now as well. She was quick to do the MRI and find the cancer and got me right in to the surgeon but I was left waiting a month for surgery as they were just so busy and I hated that as I wanted that surgery...

So you were 1A too. They say we have the best chance. I too had a surgeon at KU MED one of the finest research hosptials pretty well  known up in Kansas City, and used by the Royals baseball team which we watch. She studied at Mayo for many years and then moved to KC and worked at KU MED and since has gone home to Georgia to be with her very large family. I don't have large family but wish I did. Son in KC, daug...

Is there ANY one alive who had stage 1a uterine carcinosarcoma? I bled in March 2014. MRI. Total hysterectomy with nodes removed April 21st 2014. Two weeks after surgery I was in the chemo chair and was glad to be there! I had four rounds of ifosimide and taxol was two rounds as it had a bit of a emergency issue.
