Hi There, I'm new to this site and I'm looking to make contact with any childhood cancer survivors who were treated in the 1970s or who were treated more than 30 years ago. I was diagnosed and treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 1977 in the UK and would like to correspond with any long term childhood cancer survivors, regardless of the type of cancer.

I would like to hear from other childhood cancer survivors who wish to share their experiences and offer mutual support, especially those who were treated over 30 years ago. I would also be interested in hearing from any childhood / teen or long term cancer surivors.

I was diagnosed with 3a Hodgkin's disease in the 1977 at the age of 10. I was treated in the UK. I had my spleen removed, mantle field radiotherapy to head (below my eyes), neck, chest and back. 17 years later I had to have my thyroid gland removed, due to radiotherapy damage and possible malignancy. Since the treatment I have always had a thin neck / shoulders, which increasingly had caused me pain. I have also experienced numerous other problems, I believe are connected to the original treatment. I have also started to experience light-headedness / dizziness and headach, which is coming from the neck pain.

I would like to share my experience and support other survivors, regarding the long-term side effects (physical and psychological) and ways of living with the side-effects and strategies of healing naturally.
