Hi Aonghusmom I am so sorry to read of Aongus's diagnosis.   Seems to me you are doing everything you should be.  It's a while since I lost Dougal, but from what I remember you should have something to coat his stomach.  I had a liquid that the vet gave me. How did you get on with the oncologist?

MyChloeGirl, I am so very sorry for your loss.  Chloe did amazingly for such a long time, and both of you gave it everything you had.

I have been following your story and I am so so sorry for your loss.  I lost my dog in December, but it is still very raw for me so haven't commented until now.

Dougal's at peace now. I still can't believe how fast he went downhill, and I am left behind broken hearted wondering if I did enough.  This pain is unbearable. Thank you to all who replied to my posts, I will always be grateful that people were kind enough to help.

Thank you BradysMom & getreal19873, I will speak to the vet in the morning about getting something for his stomach, and will defo try the baby food idea. BradysMom, I really hope I get some extra time like you did with your Brady.  I got the bad news on Sunday and the vet at the emergency clinic didn't hold out a lot of hope that Piroxicam would help him, but my regular vet thought we should give it a try. ...

Gave him the Piroxicam this morning, 9 hours later he is vomitting everything he has eaten today. Not a good start :(

Hi all, thanks for the replies.  I eventually got a prescription for the Piroxicam, but I have a feeling it is too late for him.  He is going downhill fast.  I can't believe that two weeks ago he was fine, and now we have come to this.  He is unable to urinate and had to have a catheter yesterday.  Got his first dose of the Piroxicam today, but I think it's a miracle we need now.  I'm so...

Hi Sobies Mom Thank you for taking the trouble to reply.  The problem is I am in the UK, and it doesn't seem to be that easy to find a pharmacy that will supply 5mg.  I have emailed a veterinary school who state on their website that they can do certain drugs, so I'm hoping that they reply soon.  I'm so glad to read that your dog is doing great, I hope Dougal gets some quality time. H is tumour I'm t...
