Hello. My mom (age 68) has gliblastoma in right temporal lobe. She is on her third maintenance temador treatment. Since diagnosis she has pretty much been 100% other than some tiredness. Although I am so thankful to God that she is doing well I am nervous I'm not asking enough questions. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of clinical trials in Canada? Although her MEI's are stable I want t make sure we're doing every...

How is your dad doing now? Where was his tumor if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for sharing your story. Yes, I'm hoping it's just too early to tell and the effects of radiation. Mom feels great and that's what the doctor is happy with:) I hope all is well Thanks

I feel like I'm going through the exact same thing with my mom. Her tumor was in her right temporal lobe and when operated they found two small tumors. I'm assuming they got it all because they said they did but then their was residual tumor on her MRI. We saw the doctor yesterday and he said he thinks it's swelling from radiation. He's an expert in Canada so I'm assuming he's right. They want to do another MRI in Ja...

My mom had her post MRI four weeks after radiation and chemo. They think it's swelling as it lit up with contrast. Their doing another MRI in two months. My mom is feeling great. No side effects really. I'm so thankful for that but confused. Have you ever heard of swelling enhancing on MRI?

Ok so my mom finished radiation/ chemo one month ago today. We just met with the neuro onchologist who read her MRI and said that it's too early to tell but he believes it is just swelling he sees in the MRI. If it's not swelling it's tumor which has doubled in size but was all removed. I'm confused. My mom is doing really well. Has only just recently been on steroid 2 mg once per day only started the steroid two wee...

Thank you so much for replying. I know this is a dreadful disease and it sounds like your husband and my mom are going throught it at the same time. My mom is better now that she's on the steroid but not completely herself. I think that's the hardest. I'm assuming she'll bounce back as though she has the flu and I have to realize that this might not be the case . You'll be in my prayers as well:) Lyndsey

Ok thank you! It helps to know this is normal. We called the nurse today and their putting her back on the steroid. Hopefully that works! I hate seeing her so uncomfortable.

My moms tumor was in the right temporal lobe. She did not have any symptoms other than a sensory seizure one day. They actually treated her for two weeks with anti virus medication for herpes virus. After two months it was removed. I know how stressful this all is. Has your dads mobility gotten better? I will keep you both in my prayers as well. God bless

It's funny I just posted the same concern about my mom. She is sleeping a lot as well . She's wating but very tired. I share your concern and heartache. I'm praying this is normal for radiation. As I said she's done so well and now this. Where is your dads tumor if you don't mind me asking? What were his symptoms before? Good luck with everything:)
