I was thinking about your last message. You said to make sure you have an MRI. Why an MRI? I’ve never had an MRI, just CT scans and blood tests.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a recurrence. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep me posted on your situation. I’ve been following this thread for several years and I think of everyone that has posted on here often. I don’t know any of you, but I pray for all of you. I saw that someone posted a while back about how to deal with the stress of this disease. I don’t know if there is any answer to that. I’ve worried...

Hey Fudge21. I hope everything is going well for you and your husband. I was diagnosed in 2013. I’ve had follow up for the last 6 1/2 years, but not by a specialist. Lately some of my test results have come back with some elevated numbers, but they haven’t been out of the normal ranges, but have been going up over the last several tests. My doctors say it’s nothing to worry about, but that doesn’t help me much with t...

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed in 2013 with GCC stage II. Had hemicolectomy and everything looked good. Lately my Chromagranin numbers have been going up on my last several blood tests. It’s never been out of the normal range, but the last test was 92 and normal is 93. How worried should I be? Are there any other symptoms I should be looking out for?

I had stage II GCC. I had appendix removed and part of colon removed. All I e had since is ct scans and blood work. Everything keeps coming back good so far. They started out doing scans and blood work every 3 months. Now they have changed to blood work every 6 months and ct scans once a year. I am 3 years from initial diagnosis. I don't know if this is the right follow up, but it's what my doctor has recommended.

I was diagnosed with goblet cell carcinoid of my appendix stage II in May of 2013. I haven't had any problems, but today I had a colonoscopy and they found polypoid lesion that were sessile at the point where my colon was reattached after I had a hemicolectomy. Can anyone tell me what that means?

There are no specialists around here. I'm in the St. Louis area. We have Siteman Cancer center, but no one there is an appendix cancer specialist.

I am a 45 year old male with a similar diagnosis. 4 cm tumor. No evidence of spread. I was diagnosed in June 2013. Just had blood tests and CT scans today. White blood cell count is a little low. Do you think this is something to be concerned with? It is 3.7 when normal is 4.5-10.0.

I hope everyone is doing well. I had some blood tests today and most things look normal, but my white blood cell count is 3.7 (normal is 4.5). It was 3.9 four months ago. Is this nothing to worry about or is this something that might show activity. My follow up with my doctor is Friday, but I'd like to know if I should be prepared to ask questions. He is going to tell me that it's nothing to worry about because it i...
