I spent 11 days at one of the CTCA  very iumpressed and believe me it takes a lot to impress me - the attitudes were unique to me in comparison to some large hospitals - before one of my adult children went to the CTCA we both found the history of how the original Center got started.  Very interesting and under standable why.

We had a young family friend and they wouldnt accept her as she had Tricare   I do not believe there is any conspiracy but we also know the government has some weird guide lines too - maybe if you don't have a second insurance and government pays minimal it would be tough to operate a good hospital - in fact any hospital- - I know one Doctor would not do my second ataract surgery after I retired - if I didn...

I NEVER SAID THAT CTCA was rude to anyone - Please reread - -and I was referring to a hospital NOT CTCA that there are hospitalos that do deserve complaints about but NEVER CTCA

I read an article where a woman with stage IV colo/rectal cancer was being treated by a Dr Diaz at Hopkins and getting better with immunetherapy  - we are also looking into hydrotherapy

THis option was given to us but we would have to go to Germany - I know it is used in the US undeer special conditions -  I read the article about a woman with stage 4 colo/rectal cancer using immunitherapy under a Dr Diaz at Hopkins and getting better.

I always wondered since the CTCA was not on the NCI list was the  reason some insurance companies do not accept..

Did she ever ask why not - I sure would have wanted to have known - and you cant blame them for asking for insurance information up front.  I couldn't get my second cataract surgery unless I got Medicare B  - I had retired - and have great health insurance - but I guess it must be a pain to get patients to pay for their co-pays. So I signed up - - went to see another Doctor for something else - and he would...

I would be curious as to why the insurance company didn't accept her -to find out why -   neighbor went to Chicago for her cancer and we went to Philly - I do know of somone with paqncreatic cancer  and she was not accepted as she had TRICATR coverage - and I am not sure if they take any kind of goverment insurance without a secondary - like Medicare B,
