    I started this thread last summer when my dad was diagnosed with stage IV Esophageal cancer. Sadly, he passed away in February at the age of 57. To all of you fighting this battle, never, ever give up. You are all so strong, brave and courageous, One day we will have a cure!

        My dad had a stent placed back in June. He was hospitalized for 1 week due to severe pain. The doctors figured his body was rejecting the stent but wouldn't remove until after he had some radiation treatments. Finally after 1 to 1.5 months the pain, nausea and general unwell feelings subsided. Hope things improve soon for you husband.

              My dad was recently diagnosed with stage lV Esophageal Cancer and I am desperately looking for hope. We have been told he is not a candidate for surgery because of the late stage, chemo and radiation are our only options (which he has not started yet). Hoping someone can answer a few questions for me: Anyone here that has been diagnosed with stage lV Esophageal Cancer and was still able to have surgery? If so, ...
