Boy oh boy, your hubby has been through a lot! A CT scan with IV contrast will show exactly what is going on inside as well as out side these polyps. And yes altho gastrectomy sounds quite extreme, it sometimes is a necessary procedure. They do rejoin to the small intestine . It's amazing what can be done to day as compared to years ago when there was very little hope. Get God involved in this journey , and expect th...

Yes my dear, this certainly is treatable. Mine was in the superior vena cava and I was on injections everyday for 6 months and I am fine today.your father's is located in the vein that runs and connects in the same area. this happens to some of us that are on chemo , or through their port. I had been off chemo for two and a half years when I encountered this experience. Wishing your dad all the very best. Hang in the...

Hi sassiemassie, you are right, that it is only God that knows when our time on this Earth is up. Let me just say anyone with this horrible disease certainly needs some mighty powerful help that only God can give. Each day is a day of hope and a gift from God. The first thing I tell my clients is to get God involved in this journey, as he is the one that holds the key to the future. Don't look at the negative because...

Yes sometimes blood work gets damaged during the testing in the lab, and sometimes it's the way it's been taken for example if they are having a hard time getting blood and have to make numerous tries, and this is what you call false readings. Just be thankful his readings are at 600 points. Once treatment starts they should begin to drop more. Keep an eye on his ca19-9 numbers as this will tell you if chemo is worki...

Yes I certainly can pray for your father. There is hope and I am now making my way to complete my 7 the year of victory. Doctors give us grim hope but they seem to forget there is a much higher power that can do what they cannot do. They are just doctors but God is God, and he is still a miracle working God today. Try not to look at this problem, look at God, he holds the key to the future. If you focus on the negati...

Consider it done, I haven't forgotten about mark and your family! So many people have had such wonderful results because they've asked God to take control. I think I've told you I am now 6 years and 2 months cancer free and each scan has showed......absolutely no evidence that I ever had cancer! And by the grace of God, this is what we want for mark! I know that God already has everything worked out for mark.  ...

Hi Mom, so happy that marks scan is clean, thank God for that! There are many things that can cause ca19-9 numbers to rise such as cysts, benign tumor, leisions, over the counter meds such as vitamins , even Tylenol, mishandling of blood in the lab and one that I make sure I go off at least a week before I have bloodwork done and thats black tea! ! ....fluid in the tissues and the list goes on , so being as his scan w...

Oh my goodness Colin, I think you are worrying to much and anxiety can certainly cause many  health issues. Ibs and ulcerative colitis can cause some of the symptons similar to pancreatic cancer. Listen to your doctor . Your tests and bloodwork seem pretty good . Pancreatic cancer symptons don't usually go away, and the longer you have this the worse it gets. Your bloodwork alone would give some indication that ...
