Oh Karen, I'm so happy that no bloodclots  were found.dont worry about taking a week off as he has enough chemo in him to carry him through to next treatment. Sometimes people on chemo have low white blood cells and as a result the have to take a week or even two weeks off till their white blood cells come back up. Quite a common thing. Everything will be just fine. Do exactly what the doctor says because it wil...

Hi Karen, great to hear from you! Yes the second day usually hits chemo patients, that's why it's so important to take your antinausia drugs on time. Happy to hear Robert is still eating well. As for his legs hurting, this is a common complaint from some of my clients .Keep an eye on this and watch for swelling and redness as he may need to get medication from the doctor.  If it's just that it hurts you might tr...

Hi Sherrie Tyler, good for you! Don't look at the problem.....Look to God, and just know God's delays are not denials. Only our great God knows for sure when our time on this earth is up. Doctors go by a medical point of view but you and I go by a spiritual point of view. God is still preforming miracles today! I can tell you having had cancer has been a real spiritual experience, I have drawn even closer to God,.......

Hi GBAdvanced, wow, I'm so happy to hear your dad's tumour has shrunk.  At present I am with the Canadian Cancer society. Sorry as I have no idea how much this surgery would cost . Immunotherapy like chemo has it's side effects also and you would have to talk to your oncologist to see if your dad would be a candidate for this treatment. While surgery may be good it can have disadvantages such as floaters which s...

I have wrote may 30 down and do let me know how Robert makes out when you get scan results! I did not tell you my ca19-9 started at 57 and that's when I insisted on a scan to be done. Within a month my markers went from 57 to 2997  that's when I had a port put in and treatment began.  After my first cycle of treatments my tumour markers came down to 997 and I knew God was at work!  That's what we want ...

Oh Karen, I was wondering how Robert and you were doing! Thank you for bringing me up to date! Everything so far looks very promising and as for ca19-9  numbers they do have a tendency to jump around with some people. It very well could be from being off chemo, plus afew other reasons . I find that some of my clients also have this problem due to having had a cold, overdoing it with drinking tea . But the import...
