Folfirnox is a very agressive treatment which brings great results to most. It's a rough treatment but doable. They have great antinausia drugs that help you through your treatment. You may have to try different ones till they get the one that's taylored for you. Make sure you eat before chemo and drink lots of fluids after. Diahreah may become a problem and immodium was given to me which helped, or you could also ta...

Hi Aniab32 , it depends on what type of a cyst you have. A pancreatic pseudocysts sometimes go away on their own and are benign where as a cystic neoplasms are the ones that need investigated as they are usually cancer! With a cyst on or in your pancreas you do indeed get the symptons of pancreatic cancer to the point you may become jaundice. It's important to know what type of cyst you have and take it from there. Y...

Hi Momof6girls, Creon for some people can cause certain side effects such as sore mouth, gastrointestinal problems and nausia! I have been on Creon for a number of years with no problem, but we are all different and some do have problems with Creon. Let your oncoligist know what's going on as this may need to be adjusted or another option . How is your hubby doing?    Do take care......Joy.

Hi accountasauruse, in answer to your question, each surgeon is different and altho chemo is usually recommended as a precautionary measure after a whipple, there are some surgeons that prefer to do chemo before surgery . And yes folfirinox is an agressive treatment and if there are any unseen cancer floaters in hiding, this will probably eliminate them! There should be no risk in delaying surgery whilst on chemo. Th...

Yes it certainly can!  I've known some who numbers flexuated as high as 90,000  , then gradually did come down. Robert has been doing really well except for these high numbers but I'm sure having the ultra sound will show positivity! I always caution my clients to stop drinking tea at least two weeks before having bloodwork done because ca19-9 markers will go quite high ! It's little things that we don't th...

Wow!   That's a lot of protein! Talk to the oncoligist about this. With everything else being so good, I can only hope that perhaps treatment may have something to do with this! Infections, fatty liver, smoking, and the list can go on can also play a part in this. I certainly pray that these numbers will come down , do take care , as for me all is well here. I am praying that your oncoligist will have answers to...
