Has anyone found some new remedies to fight mouth ulcers . I am on new chemo therapy and had hoped that I would be spared the dreaded mouth ulcers, but no, they have come back. Any working advice greatly appreciated. Cheerio, Margo

Hi, has anyone any experience with Cabozantinib for treatment of well-advanced and metastasised Renal Cell Carcinoma. I was diagnosed in 2011 and after the different treatments available, like Sutent, Pazopanib, Axitinib, removalof affected kidney, the radiation treatments, Cyberknife, Nivolumab( immuno-therapy), and personalised cancer vaccine trial (all keeping the cancer under control for a certain time until prog...

Sorry, Minnie, the automatic word finder changed the word Hydrea in last sentence.

Hi Minnie, it can take a will before the medication has been adjusted to the right amount for the platelets to come down. Check with his haematologist and see if he can adjust the dose of the medication. It took my haematologist a few adjustments before it was correct.. Don't panic, ask also if he needs a small dose of aspirin added to taking the Hyderabad. Good luck! Margo

Hi MJFP49, I suppose it is, because most of us get diagnosed with ET at a higher age. I have had blood tests for years prior to being diagnosed, and obviously platelets were normal until I got diagnosed with ET in 2006, also having platelet counts in the 700-800. I was put on hydroxyurea, until 2011 when I was diagnosed with cancer and my cancer treatment kept the platelets under control and it still does. I found t...

Hi Emmsmi, I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma stage IV in July 211. I was put on Sutent, which gave good results initially, but also many side effects. Therefore in 2013 I was put on Pazopanib, but my cancer grew more. My left kidney was removed and the many metastasis in vertebrae, hip, lungs, liver, ribs, ilium were again been treated by Sutent at my request, starting in August 2013. However, the side effect...

Hi Golfer2000. I have just started to participate in a personalised vaccine trial. This treatment is one injection every 3 weeks 3 times. So, it's a course of 3 injections. The vaccine is made from my own cancer cells, taken from the frozen tumour that was taken out with my left kidney. I have Renal Cell Carcinoma stage IV with many metastasis. I was diagnosed in 2011 and have had several previous treatments, includi...

I am so very surprised that your dad has this reaction to Opdivo. You mentioned that he also takes anti-depressant medication, is it maybe this medication that interferes with the Nivolumab (opdivo) workings? Opdivo has been the best treatment for me. I have never heard of such reaction to Opdivo which is a immunotherapy therapy, that's why I think it must have something to do with his anti-depressant medication and ...
