A couple of months ago I read a blog entry that someone posted a link to, it was about the crazy advice people throw at cancer patients. Does anyone happen to recall it, or have it? I wanted to have some people read it. Thank you!!

My husband was in both Desert Storm and Shield, he was deployed there a couple of times. I have filed with VA on his behalf in March 2013, I suppose I'll hear something back before our grandchildren graduate school. :) He never received a letter, what was it about? Rant away!!! I am feeling ALL those frustrations too. Mendy

Larisa, My heart is breaking for you. A week ago we were moved to hospice care. My biggest fear is becoming a reality. My husband is 49, just retired from a career in the military. Our whole world has been stopped and spinning in place since February. I don't want to face reality, I want to believe we can find some sort of miracle. I don't know how you're doing it, or have done it up to this point. I find it hard so...

We have an appointment tomorrow to get things started. They are going have the neurologist involved in the tapering down this time to try to avoid a seizure. He did start physical therapy but one session was knocking him out for days. He is so weak and exhausted that he hasn't been able to keep his appointments. Thank you for letting me know your experience with dex. He feels if he could take at least less he'd feel ...

I just hate this for everyone. My husband is 48. He just retired from a career in the military and has yet to enjoy his new civilian life. I pray, as I'm sure all of you do, every day that these tumors shrivel up and die. As his caretaker and wife, I feel helpless and angry. Thank you all for sharing!

My husband finished radiation in April, in May the dr tried to taper him off the dexamethasone and my husband ended up having a seizure. The dr put him back on the full dosage of 16mg a day. He is very weak now, he has lost all of his muscle tone, and today I notice he has little sores showing up on his legs. He's exhausted, he says his belly and head are so swollen from the steroids that he hurts. He can hardly gath...

My husband was diagnosed with GBM IV Valentine's Day 2013. He completed the initial radiation/Temodar the first week in April. We are still waiting on the next MRI to know if there has been any changes in the tumor. My question, or maybe concern, is his lack of energy and what seems like a decline in him physically. He's lost all of his muscle tone, he's so exhausted and sleepy all the time, sometimes he is too tired...
