Hospice is a very personal decision. We had hospice at home, but like I said it was only the last 24 hours. My wife and I were married 35 years. I feel heart broke for you and your parents.

The morphine should calm down the stridor coughs. My wife only had trouble breathing the last few days, which is when I made decision to start hospice care. My wife only had hospice care less than 24 hrs. before she passed. I really should have started hospice earlier, she had been eating next to nothing, and drinking the minimum about a week before. We had home visited nursing care for a month + to help with baths, ...

How long has then been happening? When was his last MRI and it’s results? Someone should always go with him to his doctors appointments make sure the doctor is hearing all these problems. Unfortunately swelling and hallucinations go hand in hand. Is he currently on steroids? I’d talk or message his doctor voice your concern.

Sorry to hear about your husband. My wife lost her battle in December. Sounds like their not keeping your husband confortable, especially if he’s complaining about headache. I verbally beat up on two doctors and ran off one doctor because they couldn’t handle pain management. No one can answer to your question, everyone is different. Make him comfortable, be with him. Keep the family close. Watch food and fluid intak...

Unfortunately I’m looking at the same situation with my wife. She was diagnosed in March, ran into so many complications. Three/four surgeries, massive infection just to name a few. She quit taking here pills about a month ago barely eats more than a half dozen bites a day. Is bed ridden, home health nurse three times a week. Has some alert days like today, but others just sleeps 20 hours. Earlier this week she began...

We initially inquired about the Optune device during our radiation treatment. Wanting to ask questions I wrote the Optune makers, they called me back being snippy that I needed to ask my doctor those questions. Which I did, he had to contact the same people I wrote. Then the repeated phone calls from them to us became annoying. Barely finished radiation when my wife had a reoccurrence of her tumor and second surgery....

I’ve been trying to get meds from our oncologist, neurosurgeons, and PCM. To help with my wife’s long list of neurological problems. Tremors, sleepiness, agitation, restlessness hallucinations etc etc etc... Finally we have an appointment with a neurologist on Tuesday. What kinds of meds has anyone else been prescribed for their family members?

Thanks for the prayers. Yes the tumor regrew. They removed both new growth and necrotic tissue during the second surgery. Pathology confirmed that. The dex is good at pepping things up and reducing the swelling, but does little to the cancer itself. So be mindful of that double edge sword. Prayers to your mom and family. Rodger
