My best friend has EC, with metz to the liver and lymph nodes. Although he has been getting chemo every 3 weeks, new lymph nodes were recently found in his abdomen.  His Oncologist suggests Clinical Trials, which he will participate in, but recently his little toe was hurting. Went to a Podiatrist who requested him have a Doppler of his legs. There was a blood flow problem.  Of course, he never had the Dopp...

Thank you so much for your reply. He does have an Oncologist who is suggesting a clinical trial that he wants to participate in. From the meeting, he does have the requirements necessary to participate. It's just a matter of him consenting, signing the forms.  I do have a question though.  A few weeks ago, he thought he'd stubbed his little toe of his right foot. I looked at it and it was pur...

My best friend was diagnosed in April 2016 with EC Stage IV, with mets to the liver and lympth nodes. Gets chemo every 2 tp 3 weeks, 5FU and Cisplatin, since April.  Bloodwork shows the chemo seems to have shrunk the liver tumors remarkably, but most recent (1-5-17) ct scan shows "Anterior mediastinal lymph nodes have  doubled in size,   also, new small pericardial lymph n...

Sorry to hear about your husband, he's such a young man. My brother, too, was diagnosed with Stage IV Esophageal Cancer, spreading to liver and lympth nodes, but he is 68 and chemo was the only option. Has he started chemo yet?

My brother was diagnosed with Stage IV, that has metastisized to the liver and lymph nodes, 8 months ago.  Since then he has had followup ct scans which shows everything is shrinking. The bloodwork, also, shows great improvement.  He was given 24 months to live.  How can this be so knowing that all the tests show improvement?

My husband was diagnosed 6 months ago, Stage IV, that metastisized to the liver and lymph nodes.  He has chemo every 3 weeks. His blood work shows great improvement and the latest ct scan shows that everything is shrinking.  His chemo is a 3 step process. The first day he goes in for chemo, 5FU/DB, then before leaving, they give him the portable pump(with chemo) to take home and the 3rd day he goe...
