I recommend you get and watch the movie/documentary, "Forks Over Knives" It has turned my life around and is playing a part in my husband's survival of gliosarcoma brain cancer. It is truly amazing what our diets can control and heal.

Hello..this is so encouraging about your survival . How is your energy level and physicals ability ? My hubby came home from rehab on last Tuesday, able to walk to and from bathroom with his cane for three days and suddenly had pain in left foot and couldn't walk. To ER Saturday night. I feared the "beast" was already coming back but a CT scan showed the area clear. He was admitted for tests and they suspect a mini s...

I am so sorry about your wife. My husband was dx in October immediately following our 6th year anniversary. We are in early 70's, a late in life marriage made in Heaven. My husband had a gliosarcoma, (rare form of glioblastoma). The surgeon, after 6 hours in OR, using a microscope said he "got it all" but assured us that within 6 months, it will come back with a vengence and within 6 months without conventional treatme...

This is interesting since I have noticed a "blank" stare with my husband when he looks at me now ( 6 weeks post surgery) He has been taking Dex. 9 mg daily, an antiseizure med. and Paxil that was just changed to Cymbalta by the Rehab doctor. He has never responded to "I love you" even once, though I will continue to tell him over and over, because I believe it is important for him to know.

Kathleen, Oh THANK YOU for responding, and a Happy New year to you! You are the first long term survivor to respond to me. I had begun to believe they are sadly no longer with us. Tomorrow, I bring him home from rehab center where he has been regaining some strength and we begin our journey toward surviving. No MRI since November 16, two days after his surgery where it showed clear with only a few blood clots remaini...

Bernard, I don't know where you stand with faith in our Creator. My husband's dx of brain cancer turned our lives upside down in October and he is to come home from rehab tomorrow. Then we will begin this leg of our journey with an oncologist and searching for clinical trials. Since he has been given a death sentence of 6 months without conventional therapy. The surgeon got all of the tumor, but told us it will come ...

Bernard, you didn't mention the type of cancer you have and how you have been rehabilating, or what treatments you have received. Makes a huge difference in sleep ability. You are almost at the one year mark. Congratulations!

Wonderful news, Angie! Your surgeon must be awesome! Yes, make him rest. My husband left rehab too soon the last time. Tonight they told me he is being considered for a January 6th. discharg for home because he has reached his short and long term goals. Now, the decision as to where to go from here. Do we change doctors, look for alternatives to the chemo and radiation or agree to it? Tough decision because he is sti...
