I finished chemo just before Christmas and I still have a terrible taste in my mouth.  Its just bitter and aweful and it doesn't even leave when I brush my teeth.  I'm wondering if mine is caused by tooth decay.  My teeth have gone so bad since my diagnosis of cancer that I have lost 4 teeth before chemo and after radiation.  Now I have about 4 more teeth that I'm likely going to loose.  That...

I didn't have any side effects from radiation and brachy, other than dry skin etc., but the chemo has given me nerve damage in my feet.  They are sore and it feels like I'm walking with my sock scrunched up unter my toes are the front of my feet.  I also get the feeling of an electrical buzz in my feet.  Its strange and my feet really do hurt.  My brother-in-law had bowel cancer 10 years ago and s...

It sounds like you are suffering from classic migraine.  I've been suffering from it all my life and I'm 52 years old.  It started as occasional migraines as a small child.  Puberty made them much more frequent, and then going on birth control pills when I was 18 destroyed me.  I went off the pill before long but the damage was done and I've suffered almost constantly all my adult life. ...

Has anybody here had pelvic exenteration for pelvic cancer?  I was told I needed it done - removal of my vagina, bladder and rectum.  Then they did exploratory surgery and decided against the exenteration.  Thank God!  However, the reason they decided not to do it, is that the cancer was too advanced and it wouldn't save my life.  I was so close to having that surgery and I'm so thankful I di...

Hi, I'm new here.  I see that I am not alone even though this is supposed to be a rare surgery.  I am supposed to have a full pelvic exteneration on Aug. 5th.  If I have it, I don't think I will have vaginal reconstruction.  They said if I want reconstruction the ext surgery will be about 4 hrs longer than it will be if I don't plan reconstruction.  What I have read on the subject is that the...

My name is Angie and I was born in 1962. I have a wonderful husband of almost 30 yrs and 2 adult sons. One is married with 2 children, 2 & 5 yrs old. They are the best! I'm also a Christian. Am I allowed to say that? I know God still heals people & I hope to be one of them. This site is very informative & impressive. Its the most thorough site I have found on my type of cancer which is gynecologic. I hope to give and receive help through the forum and make some friends.
