I think a strict diet with chemo and radiation is what works. You have to also make sure the cancer doesn't come back. IDK though, I was thinking about that before my dad went in for chemo, but it really wasn't all up to me.

My dad has just finished his first round of chemo for GBM with little complications. He even stated that he feels like he wants to go back to work. While he is a little weak and has had a lot of bad coughing fits lately he is still looking and feeling good and staying fairly active. He will be even be playing golf with my uncle on thursday. That is the good news, the bad news is that this still isn't over by a long ...

Thank you so much for all of that info. We will definitely be looking into all of this. I hope your dad gets well. God bless.

I meant that it was a double cancer, two of them in the same spot on the left lobe. That was the reason given for not being eligible for trials. I do believe we should get a second opinion and thank you so much for the info.

The radiation doctor said that my dad isn't eligible for trials because the cancer was a double. I still wonder if I should still check them out. I would like to believe that this is one doctor's opinion.

Hi, were they able to remove your husband's tumor at first or was it inoperable and he died from the same tumor?

As I have already written in a separate post on this forum, my father has recently been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme stage IV. I was wondering if anyone has any information from some reputable national charities doing research specifically targeting this disease. I have seen Blast Glioblastoma (but it is based in Ohio and they seem to be conducting research only for their particular region). There is also t...

Hi, how old was your wife? My concern with my dad is his age. Thank you so for the help. I really need it. God bless you too.

My dad is 66 and was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma stage 4. They were able to remove his tumor but they say it grows back aggressively and quickly. He is in rehab right now and we hope he will be back home within the week before he begins chemo. We are hoping for a year left with him. No doctor has given him a set time to live but my mom tells me that no one has survived this disease and his age will mean...
