Hello, Has your dad tried Keytruda? I have heard that can work.  As far as time span goes..yes, miracles can happen and everybody is different in their response to treatment. Don't give up hope, hope is so important. My dad was only able to fight EC for 4 months. But i have heard of others who have been alive for 10 years after diagnoses. Enjoy your memories that you have with him, even if he doesn't feel li...

Hello, Coming from a daughters perspective (I am 25), please do not feel guilty. Yes, it is painful for your children, but it is also the closest I ever was to my dad. When someone in your family is sick, it truley makes you realize that family is the most important thing, and everything else comes second. Also, don't feel like you need to put on a front or fake anything.  I am praying for you and your family....

Hello, I am glad he had a few months that he was feeling well, sorry to hear he isn't feeling the best right now. It is so tough. My dad also had EC in the junction of his esophagus and stomach. However, they never preformed an esophagetocmy. His chemo and radaition did not have any response so unfortunately he passed away very quickly just a few weeks ago. Before my dad passed, his oncologist would talk about thi...

my dad just passed a little over a week ago from the same cancer, same back pain. He couldn't eat. He was in the hospital just withering away and when the doctors finally mentioned a feeding tube it was too late, he passed 3 days later. I am so angry. It seemed so preventable. I am very dissapointed in my dads oncologists..

Caterina, My dad was diagnosed with a similar situation. After going through all of this with him.. my biggest advice is to not let yourself get too weak. If you find that you are not able to eat enough food, advocate for a feeding tube!! it is so important to keep your body strong while trying to fight cancer. Also mention keytruda to your doctors. It is a free immunotherapy trail and has been shown to work with e...

Hello, I found out about my dads stomach cancer diagnosis in the beginning of March. We were originally told that he would go through 4 rounds of chemo and most likely be beack to normal. Unfortunatley, we found that the cancer spread and he still cannot eat anything but liquids. He now just started radiation and is going to do immunotherapy too. He is so tired, it is so hard to watch. I am 25 and it is hard to cop...
